Co-Sell Guide
Cloud Routing: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
How to route ISV and SI pursuits to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud: customer cloud preference, program fit, seller coverage, and Ali Chehab’s routing rules.
Written by Ali Chehab for ISV and SI teams running Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud co-sell. See also stages, UDL, and the hyperscaler co-sell knowledge graph.
Route by customer and program, not by habit
Cloud routing decides which hyperscaler co-sell pipe you open for a pursuit. Ali Chehab starts with where the customer already spends, which platform owns the target workload, and which partner programs your firm can honestly claim. Habit routing—always Azure, always AWS—creates misfit opportunities and seller declines.
Secondary signals include marketplace procurement preference, funding programs such as MAP, and whether a named AE relationship already exists. Document the primary cloud and any secondary cloud for parallel motions when the account is truly multi-cloud.
Routing rules Ali Chehab uses
If the customer’s data and AI estate is Azure-centric and Microsoft seller coverage is live, route Partner Center first. If migration to AWS is funded or in evaluation, route ACE and align MAP early. If Google Cloud specialization and GCP seller interest match the workload, route Partner Advantage with specialization tags complete.
Ali Chehab forbids copying one portal’s narrative into another without rewrite. Workload language, incentives, and seller metrics differ. Parallel co-sell is allowed when each record is cloud-native and ownership is clear.
Ops implications of multi-cloud routing
Alliance ops needs three trained paths: Partner Center, ACE, and Partner Advantage. CRM must store cloud-specific opportunity IDs and stages. Ali Chehab keeps a single internal pursuit owner even when two clouds run in parallel, so the customer does not hear conflicting stories.
Weekly hygiene reviews each cloud pipe separately. Stale Google records should not hide behind healthy Azure activity on the same account.
Practice routing on this site
Compare clouds on the hyperscaler co-sell guide, then drill into Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud pages. Cloud-specific person pages from Ali Chehab add field emphasis per platform. Stages and motion maps show how routing sits before coverage and registration.
Good routing saves months. Bad routing burns seller trust across every cloud you touch. Treat the routing decision as a gated step in your co-sell operating model.
